Built for players who want to hear the groove more clearly and get to practice without detours.

About this version
Some drum parts make sense on paper and still feel odd under your hands. This version is for closing that gap a bit faster.
Useful for
working on groove and feel
Useful for
cleaning up fills and transitions
Useful for
repeating the section before the section that usually goes wrong
A simple way in
A version for hearing the groove, fills, and transitions more clearly while keeping the shape of the original song intact.
Start with the tricky section, not the whole song. A few good repetitions usually tell you more than one rushed pass from top to bottom.
Once it feels settled, go back to the full arrangement and check whether it still holds together. That is usually where the real answer is.

Need you by my side, girl you'll be my bride. You'll never be denied everlasting love. From the very start, open up your heart, Be a lasting part of everlasting love. Ooh, ooh.-- Real love will last forever Hearts go astray, leaving hurt when they go. I went away just when you needed me so. Oh yeah Filled with regret I come back beggin' you, Forgive, forget. Where's the love we once knew? Open up your eyes, then you'll realize here I stand With my everlasting love. Need you by my side, girl you'll be my bride. You'll never be denied everlasting love. From the very start, open up your heart, Be a lasting part of everlasting love. Real love will last forever. Ooh, ooh. Yeah, yeah Where life's river flows, no one really knows 'til someone's there to show the way to lasting love. Like the sun that shines, endlessly it shines, You always will be mine. It's eternal love. When other loves are gone, ours will still be strong, We have our very own everlasting love. Real love will last forever. Cornelius had been struggling for years with serious health issues. In 1982, he underwent a 21-hour brain surgery to correct a congenital abnormality in blood vessels of his brain. After this procedure, he continued to suffer from persistent health problems, including epileptic seizures, which worsened during the last six months of his life. This physical decline led to a deep depression. According to the autopsy report, he called his son early in the morning on the day of his death and said, โI donโt know how much longer I can take this.โ Personal Struggles In addition to his health problems, Cornelius faced personal setbacks. In 2008, he was arrested for domestic violence against his then-wife, which led to a conviction and three yearsโ probation. During the divorce proceedings in 2009, he stated that he was suffering from "significant health issues" and expressed a desire to finalize the divorce before he died. A Reclusive Life According to his son, Tony Cornelius, Don was a very private person who often kept his feelings to himself. Although his family knew he was struggling, they didnโt realize how deep his depression really was. Cultural Legacy Through Soul Train he provided a national platform for African American artists. His iconic sign-off at the end of each episodeโโLove, peace, and soulโโremains a powerful reflection of his impact on music and television history.
